We often encourage students to type their forum posts, online text assignments and other types of text using a word processing program first, and then to copy/paste their work into Moodle.  This makes it easier for students to save their work, and minimizes the possibility of Moodle losing their work.

However, some browsers disable the copy/paste function from the right-click menu.  So how do you copy and paste your work into Moodle?  You can use the following keyboard shortcuts:

Copy = ctrl + c  (Mac: cmnd + c)

Paste = ctrl + v (Mac: cmnd + v)

These shortcuts will override the disabled copy and paste features in your browser.  Just be sure that if you are copying and pasting from Microsoft Word that you use the Paste from Word button.  (This button is located in Row 3 of the forum text editor.)
