The SU Registrar and your instructors will use a few key methods for contacting you with important information and updates:

  • Site News: The Site News appears on the front page of online.summituniversity.org before you login.  It is also listed on the Latest news area on your My home page.  The Registrar and SU Tech Support will post important updates in this place from time to time, so be sure to check this area each time you login to Moodle.
  • General Information & Announcements News Forum/Latest News: If you are enrolled in an SU Online School of Theology and Spiritual Studies program or course, you will also receive access to the General Information & Announcements course (listed in your My courses block).  Check the News Forum in this course for program information, updates from the Registrar, and information about how to register for the next semester.
  • News Forum/Latest News in Courses: Instructors use the Course News Forum to post important updates for students, so check frequently for these course announcements.
  • Moodle Messages: Instructors, TAs and the SU Registrar all use Moodle Messages as a way to communicate with students directly.  Be sure to check your Moodle Messages frequently for important communications.  Moodle Messages can be accessed from the Messages block on the right-hand side of the My home page.
  • Email: Occasionally, you will receive communications from your instructors and/or the SU Registrar directly by email.  These will be sent to the email address listed in your Moodle profile.  Be sure that you check this email address frequently for these emails.
