Yes, our SU Online (Moodle) site provides the option for you to reset your own password if your remember you username or the email address listed on your Moodle profile.  To reset your password yourself, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to the SU Online (Moodle) website: http://online.summituniversity.org.
  2. Click Lost password? under the Login area:


     

    Alternatively, you can click Forgotten your username or password? if you see the page below:

  3. On the next page you will be asked to enter your username OR your email address and click Search.  (You do not need to enter both.)
  4. If your username or email address is found in the SU Online (Moodle) system, you will be sent a password reset email from Admin User at noreply@online.summituniversity.org with the subject line "Summit University Online: Password reset request."  This email will contain a password reset link.
  5. Click on the password reset link and you will be taken to a page where you can set a new password.
  6. Enter the new password twice and click Save changes.  Remember, Moodle passwords must be at lease 8 characters long and have a combination of lower and upper case letters, numbers and special characters (such as * or $).  If you do not enter a new password that meets these requirements, Moodle will ask you to select a new password.
  7. You will be automatically logged into SU Online (Moodle) and can continue with your course(s).
  8. Write down your password and keep it in a safe place.  Do not share it with others!
