No. Our online classes are hosted through a website that you can access via an internet browser. In order to take most classes at SU Online, students only need:
The latest version of one of the four internet browsers supported by SU Tech Support: Firefox (recommended), Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari
- Adobe Acrobat Reader (FREE and available here: http://summituniversity.org/adobereader)
- Adobe Flash Player (FREE and available here: http://summituniversity.org/flashplayer)
- Access to a word processing program that can make ".docx" files (credit students only)
Occasionally, a course may require an additional piece of hardware or software. These technology requirements are not expensive, and are posted with the course description in the Course Catalog on the SU Website.
