No. In fact, most video assignments do not even allow you to edit your video (although, you can make as many recording takes as you like). The video assignments that you will submit for your courses will not be graded on video recording or editing quality. Your instructor is more concerned with you demonstrating that you have mastered the material and/or techniques presented in the course.
That said, you should at least make sure that your video is well-lit and that you can be seen and heard clearly. Your instructor will provide you with the individual requirements for each assignment.
