To subscribe or unsubscribe to individual discussions in a forum:

  1. Go into the forum by clicking on its title on the course main page.
  2. Identify the specific discussion that you would like to subscribe/unsubscribe to and check the icon in the right-hand column of the discussion row (either a grey dot or a small envelope). 
      
    Key:
       A grey dot: unsubscribed
       A small envelope: subscribed

  3. If necessary, click on the icon to change it to the opposite icon.  This will subscribe/unsubscribe you to the discussion in the forum.
  4. Repeat steps 2-3 for all discussions that you would like to subscribe/unsubscribe to.


Note: If you subscribed to the forum, you will be automatically receive notification of and be subscribed to all new discussions that are started by others (or yourself) in the forum.  If you unsubscribe from the forum, you will NOT receive notifications of new discussions that are started by others (or yourself) in the forum, so be sure to use this setting wisely!
